Berkeley 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Come to a beautiful historic chapel in Berkeley to hear highlights about different prophet's teachings in the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Christ. The book is a record of Jesus Christ visiting the Americas after his resurrection and is an interesting companion to the Bible.

About this event

A lecture at 7 pm on Friday, March 17 at the Berkeley Latter-day Saint Chapel (1501 Walnut) will feature four authors from The Book of Mormon: Brief Theological Introductions series.

In 2020, the Maxwell Institute at BYU published a twelve-volume series of short books written by a diverse set of scholars taking a fresh look one of the foundational texts of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On March 17, four of those authors, Adam Miller, Joseph Spencer, Rosalynde Welch, and Deidre Green, will present readings and discussion from their volumes, with a question and answer period to follow. Please join us to hear some of the brightest minds in our faith discuss their insights into the Book of Mormon!
