Convocation of the Latter-day Saint Community at Stanford University

Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30 pm

Please feel welcome and wanted at the Convocation of the Latter-day Saint Community at Stanford University. Held annually at Stanford Memorial Church, this year it will take place on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30 pm. The service features transcendent music, and remarks by

Stanford students and faculty.

This year’s keynote speaker is Grant Hardy, perhaps the leading scholar of Book of Mormon Studies in our generation. A professor of history and religious studies at the University of North Carolina (Asheville), his contributions include The Book of Mormon: A Reader’s Edition and Understanding the Book of Mormon: A Reader’s Guide. Last month Oxford University Press released his Annotated Book of Mormon, and it is being described as the most comprehensive analysis yet published.

The Convocation is a joint effort of the Stanford Latter-day Saint Student Association and the Faith & Learning Commission. It gathers students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends of Stanford and friends of the Church. We sincerely hope you’ll join us!

Sponsored by the Stanford LDSSA and the Stanford Faith & Learning Commission
