Will you please do the following:

  1. Mark these dates on your calendar.
  2. RSVP to this event & Spread the word for others to mark their calendars as well (Those who RSVP will receive automated reminders)

My Hometown Initiative (MHI) is a program in West Valley City that brings together city services, local churches, partner organizations and residents to work together for three main purposes:

  • Bring new life and energy to City neighborhoods by improving the housing and the appearance of the neighborhood.
  • Offer opportunities for the community’s families to advance and prosper.
  • Make the community a place where people will want to invest their time, money, and efforts.

The projects will be determined about a month before the day of service.

  • This event page will be updated with that information once received.
  • We will let you know as soon as we have the specifics.
  • We will be looking for one or two project leads and 80-100 volunteers total.

Our experience with these events over the last few years is that the need is real, the people love and appreciate the help, and there is a place for everyone to serve (youth, men, women, dogs, neighbors, cousins...) - no special skills required.

Volunteers should be age 14+. Adult Supervision is required for Youth Groups.

Volunteers will need to bring their own equipment, gloves, face masks, sunscreen, and water bottles.
