As members of a worldwide women's organization called the Relief Society, the women of the Martinez congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints host a monthly activity specifically for women in the Martinez community to gather in a casual setting to socialize and learn skills together. 

January's monthly activity will be a self-defense workshop taught by an active-duty law enforcement officer from our own congregation. In his presentation, he will focus on ways for women to increase situational awareness in public spaces.
