The Islamic Center of Naperville is hosting an Open Mosque Day for members of all faiths.
About this event
The Islamic Center of Naperville is hosting an open mosque day where everyone is welcome to attend. It will be an excellent opportunity for all of us to meet some of our neighbors and learn more about the many shared values we have in common with our Muslim friends.
We are invited to attend ICN's Open Mosque Day on Sunday, October 15th from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Event Information From ICN:
The purpose of this free event is to open the doors of our mosque to our neighbors, friends, and colleagues and give them an opportunity to visit a mosque, something they may have never had a chance to do before. It is also an opportunity to continue the dialogue and friendships we have built over the years with the members of our larger community. We are pleased to add a new Virtual Reality attraction this year where you will experience Mecca of 640 AD and today along with other interesting titles.
We will also have various booths that present different aspects of our Islamic faith:
Ask questions about Islam and Prophets Meet the Imam Savor cuisines from the Islamic world Try on Hijab and apply Henna Mosque tour Fun activities for kids
You can ask questions, get an opportunity to meet our Imam (Religious Scholar) and discuss any topics with him, interact with people from our congregation or observe our afternoon congregational prayer, which is at 1:30 pm.
And, of course, we cannot host an event without food - we will have food from around the world including refreshments from the Middle East and South Asia and an area for guests to sit and relax, or eat and interact in a warm, friendly and informal setting - an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to get to know each other better.
The event is totally free and we hope you are able to attend. We look forward to hosting you.
