Please plan on attending the Joliet Stake Labor Day Picnic AND Service Project for Mattea's Joy.

DATE:  Monday, September 4, 2023

TIME:   11:00 AM – 3:00 PM 

WHERE:  Kankakee River State Park, 5314 W Rt. 102,Bourbonnais, IL  60914   (About an hour drive from the 95th Street building)

1)  Service project  (Be there at 11:00 AM so that you and your family can participate in the SERVICE PROJECT!)

2)  Lunch will be provided by the Stake   (There really is such a thing as a FREE lunch!)

3)  Fun activities to follow!

You can contribute to the Care boxes by filling out a Donation slip. Put the amount under "Other." (You can contribute online as well.) 

Our Ward leaders will buy LIP BALM for the Care boxes with the money collected.

As we did last year, we will be packaging care boxes for MATTEA'S JOY. They provide care, connection, and community for families navigating the challenges of having a hospitalized child... and remind them that they're not alone. Last year, we were able to build over 350 individual snack boxes...and we hope to beat that number this year!

The Lord hears and answers the prayers of His children, and often it is through other people that the answer comes. Let's all be the answer for these families as they struggle with the challenge of having hospitalized children.
