About this event

This year, the Latter-day Saint community convenes Convocation in Memorial Church on Stanford campus on Thursday, October 13th at 7:30 PM.

We meet to grapple with the tensions and paradoxes of discipleship, to celebrate the glory of the restored gospel, and to drink in transcendent music.

Convocation is a joint effort brought to you by both the Stanford Latter-day Saint Student Association and the Faith and Learning Commission.

The keynote address will be offered by Melissa Inouye, a historian at the Church History Department and Senior Lecturer at the University of Aukland. Other participants will include faculty and staff from Stanford, as well as students participating as both speakers and musical performers.

We invite students, faculty, staff, and all friends of Stanford and the Church in the Bay Area to attend, and are confident it will be an evening of beauty, deep thinking, and of strengthening our community.

All are invited and admission is, as always, free.

We hope you will join us as we mark the beginning of the new school year and the arrival of fall.

Sponsored by the Stanford LDSSA and the Faith and Learning Commission
