The Tabernacle Experience will provide a unique opportunity for individuals and families to tour a full-sized replica of the ancient tabernacle of the Old Testament. Guests will also be invited to tour the Tabernacle Visitors’ Center, where visual displays and other media will help illustrate the connection between the ancient tabernacle and modern-day temples. Above all, we hope this experience will emphasize the important role that these sacred spaces serve in pointing us to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Although it is not required, where possible we encourage Stakes and those that are closer to Athens to visit the temple during the week so that outlying Stakes (more than 2+ hours away) can visit during the weekend. The tabernacle will not be available outside of the hours below. If you arrive before it closes, you will be admitted.

Tours will be provided on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis. No ticket or reservation is necessary and there is no cost to guests. Visitors can plan on about a 60-minute experience.
